My name is Fateh Kaur Bolivar. I'm the owner of Waterfall Villas - Retreat & Spa Costa Rica

Fateh Kaur Bolivar was born in Southern California, and moved to Hawaii at 16 to pursue a study in Computer Science from which she had a international career as an executive and CEO. After an epiphany she had decided to change her life style and having sold everything came to Costa Rica to save a piece of the rain forest and develop and share the Waterfall Villas – a Wellness Retreat and Spa.

She has studied and practiced various forms of Yoga for over 20 years, and is a certified KYI Kundalini Yoga Teacher who studied Master's Touch under Yogi Bahjan, the Majan Tantric, while he was still in his earth form, in Española, New Mexico at his ashram.

Fateh has been traveling and making a sacred pilgrimage to Bali, Indonesia for over 25 years. Shehas studied with a Balinese healer for over 10 years. During the visits to Bali they perform sacred blessing, and energy healing, and visit sacred sites for the group.

Fateh has many visions about her past lives, and one that has influenced her the most in this lifetime is where she was a member of those Hindus who had first visited the island of Bali over 600 years ago with the entourage of King Akbar. Akbar had created the first non-denominational religion in India of which she was a part of. Bali now enjoys a special combination of beliefs called Bali Dharma: Hindu, Buddhist, and animism (the belief that all forms whether animate and inanimate contain energy - a spirit).

Fateh is connected with the Center for Awareness in Bali, where the lineage of the first Buddhist pilgrimage was centered also around 1,000 years ago by the Nirarta. Now the center is owned by a person in the lineage of the Nirarta. Part of the retreats to Bali include a visit to the Center in Sideman.

Fateh is a mystic with background in Bali Dharma, Sufisim, Hinduism, Buddhism, and Shamanic studies. Fateh has received transmissions from the 3 persons on earth who have been able to tell of their next incarnation before they leave the earth plane. 1. Tai Situpa Rinpoche at SharblingMonestary, 2. She has gone through an initiation process with the Dali Lama, 3. Fateh has been blessed by the real Karmapa (Sikim leader in exile).

Fateh has visited most sacred sites of the Earth. Fateh has climbed inside the great pyramid tomb at Giza, received a vision at the Isis temple in Aswan, and visited Abu Simbel for the festival of Ramses II at the first light of dawn to see the illumination, touched by the goddess at Dendra, Borabudur, Machu Pichu, Chichanitza, and Konya, Turkey where she also studied Sufism, meditated at the vortexes in Sedona, various temples of India - Fateh purSikri in India, and Bali's most sacred sanctums.

Fateh will lead you in your spiritual and healing Journey in Costa Rica and Bali and India during 2014 for your passage into a new and wondrous spiritual existence and Yogic lifestyle!

Hometown Santa Monica, California

Sunsign Libra – moon is Scorpio, and rising Aquarius, major planets all in the 8th house

I start my day with a glass of water and fresh squeezed lemon juice and sitting out on my balcony to view the rain forest full of tropical birds.

I relax by doing my daily Yoga by the waterfalls.

If I could wake up anywhere tomorrow it would be at home here in Costa Rica with all of nature surrounding me.

My travel tip is pack light as possible.

My secret to staying young is Kundalini Yoga and a Vegan life style.

Best advice for people deciding on a retreat – decide what type of ambiance, service and activities you would like first and then look for a retreat that matches your preferences. Many retreat venues are very rustical - especially in Costa Rica. Some large hotel chains are trying to reinvent themselves as a retreat to capture more market share, but this falls very short. There are few retreats like the Waterfall Villas which are authentic luxury retreats.

The main reason people attend my retreat is to kick start a healthy life style that they may have not been able to fulfil because of work, stress or a traumatic event.

The favorite part of my job is helping others discover what works for them in getting their health and life style to a better place that serves them in a practical way that they can actually apply as their own practise.

I keep my energy up working with groups by meditation, juicing and doing Yoga daily.

My favourite type of yoga is Kundalini Yoga.

Meditation is the divine connection of the soul to our human experience and the cosmic consciousness.

My most treasured possession is my dog - who loves me unconditionally.

I wish I had a greater awareness out into the world for what I am doing here in Costa Rica with the healing retreats at the Waterfall Villas.

I wish I hadn’t brought so many things here when I came here initially, I should have given more stuff away. When you move to a new place it is important to learn to let go and to develop a new way of living. Letting go of physical collections of things is very important outside of a few family treasures.

My happiest moment was when my husband agreed to create this retreat with me – the Waterfall Villas Retreat & Spa.

I am very bad at car mechanics.

Friends say I’m professional and have changed their lives for the better.

My greatest fear is lapsing into any type of inertia – there is so much to be done in this lifetime.

If only I could travel to different places instantaneously without having to take a plane I could visit all my friends all the time.

I’m always being asked when is my next retreat in Bali and India which is an annual pilgrimage I host for a group every year at different times of the year depending on the most auspicious days for celebrations. I decide on the specific dates with a Shamanic Healer that I have been doing these retreats in Bali with for many years now.

My worst job was to be a CEO of a software company – I say that as even though I enjoyed it at the time for a while. Actually it was the highlight of my career as a computer scientist and I had spent most of my youth getting the education for that career.  Later – it became a very stressful time which caused me to have adult asthma and a fused spine from sitting so many hours as well as being over weight. After discovering Yoga the asthma has gone away completely, and after 7 years my spine became like a 20 year old person again. My weight is perfect and I am in my 50s - I have amazing flexibility.  If that job had not happened I would not be here today. So out of every unpleasant time I have had I have also been able to turn it into an opportunity for change and transformation into a new Yogic satvic life style as a vegan and teacher.

My motivational tip is to create a circle of light that holds your most creative and expansive energy that you can step into when you need it. I had a vision of being reborn as a dragon (Naga) while in a meditation trance in a cave in Bali. I was taken to this cave by a high priest and it was a very blessed experience.  So I always go to this moment in time by recreating the circle of this light energy of my rebirthing when I need a boost of creativity or strength.

I don’t like talking about any gossip or negative things.

If I wasn’t me I’d like to be a dolphin.

At the moment I’m listening to soft jazz.

I often wonder what it would have been like to know Buddha and to have lived in those times when great spiritual leaders have walked the earth.
